Dijle (TUR)

Dijle is a Turkish opera singer soprano. She is the daughter of singer and composer Hasan Yükselir.

Dijle Yükselir started taking piano lessons at the age of 7 and got singing lessons 2004 to 2005 from tenor Mustafa Yurdakul at the Art Academy Ankara.

In 2005 she started her opera studies at the MSFAU Conservatory (Mimar Sinan Fine Arts State University /Conservatory) and completed her degree successfully within 6 years led by soprano Sema Cal Günsoy.

During her university studies she participated in several opera project and concerts.

In 2011 she was part of „from Yunus zu Nazım – a cantana for soloists, choirs and symphony orchestras “ written by Hasan Yükselir and Fırat Yükselir and accompanied by the Eskişehir State Symphony Orchestra

In 2012 she played the role of “Solveig” in the musical “Peer Gynt” (written by Henrik Ibsen, music by Edvard Grieg) accompanied by the İstanbul State Symphony Orchestra.

One year later she debuted as “Tamara” in Rimsky Korsakov’s “1001 Night Tales” accompanied by the Golden Horn Brass Orchestra.

From 2014 to 2015 she accompanied the Istanbul Philharmonie Choirs as a sopran solist at various concerts, e.g. Andrea Bocelli, Le Divas and Lisa Gerrard. She also performed with the Borusan Philharmonie Choir in the „Tosca Opera“ concert version.

In 2015 she went on tour with Hasan Yükselir and performed at vairous concerts, e.g. the concert „Love is a shirt of fire – poems by Nazım Hikmet“ in memory of Nazım Hikmet, „from Saz to Jazz“ and „Pir Sultan’dan Nazım’a“. One of her highlights in 2015 was the international performance at the MainWeltmusik Festival in Germany.

From 2015 to 2016 she worked with Nazım Hikmet Choir and the internationally successful Turkish pianist Fazıl Say.

2017-2018 Project with choir of Lord of the Rings with the Cinema Symphony Orchestra.

2018 – 2019 She performed with Hasan Yükselir as soloist with Anatolian Symphony Orchestra. She performed Anatolian Turkish Songs at four concerts throughout the year.

During her career Dijle worked with the following orchestras, choirs and their directors as a soprano soloist: Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Borusan Philharmonie Orchestra, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Tekfen Philharmonie, Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Orchestra, MSFAU Symphony Orchestra, Anatolia Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul Clarinet Choir. These orchestras and choirs were led by by Gürer Aykal, Marcello Rota, Antonello Allemandi, Zbigniew Preisner, Fırat Yükselir, Naci Özgüç, İbrahim Yazıcı, Serdar Yalçın, Deniz Sever and Erdem Çöloğlu.
