Orhan Aydın: Actor, Director, and Writer

Orhan Aydın began his artistic career on the prestigious stage of Ankara Halkevi. Throughout his extensive and fruitful 52-year career, he has remained dedicated to the stage and has taken on significant roles in important theater companies across the country.

Aydın has worked both as an actor and director with renowned theater groups such as Ankara Halk Tiyatrosu, Çağdaş Sahne, Öncü Sahne, Ankara Birlik Tiyatrosu, Ali Hürol Çocuk Tiyatrosu, Yeni Tiyatro, Enis Fosforoğlu Tiyatrosu, Ali Poyrazoğlu Tiyatrosu, Gülriz Sururi Engin Cezzar Tiyatrosu, Oyun Atölyesi, Aysa Prodüksiyon, and Nazım Oyuncuları. To date, he has performed in 94 different plays and continues to advance his artistic career.

In addition to his theater work, Aydın has made significant contributions to film and television, appearing in 41 films and various TV series. His belief in the transformative power of art is evident in his projects and works that support workers‘ and labor rights.

Artist rights, social justice, and the struggle for freedom are central to Aydın’s artistic vision. He has supported these causes through numerous articles published in literary magazines, newspapers, and professional journals, advocating for the power of art to drive social change.

Aydın has also played an active role in raising awareness on issues such as environmental protection, nature, animal rights, and women’s and children’s rights. By using theater, music, dance, and other art forms, he draws attention to social issues.
