Céline Rudolph AMARÉ (DEU – FRA – BRA)

With AMARÉ, the trio around renowned vocalist Céline Rudolph brings a concert to the Büsing Palais on June 28, 2025, that is as fresh as it is emotionally charged – a highlight of the MainWeltmusik Festival.

Céline Rudolph is no stranger to the audience. Her musical versatility, poetic depth, and warm stage presence have left lasting impressions in past performances. Now she returns with a new trio that fuses Brazilian music and jazz with breathtaking ease, depth, and passion. Singing in German, French, and Portuguese, her performance is as diverse as the ensemble itself.

AMARÉ is more than a name – it’s a musical manifesto:

  • A Maré – “the tides” – reflects the flowing, ever-shifting nature of their music, moving between improvisation, groove, and lyrical expression.

  • Amar é… – “to love is…” – points to the emotional, playful, and instantly touching essence of this trio.

Joyful improvisation and emotional depth are the hallmarks of AMARÉ:
They reimagine French and Brazilian classics, such as a Henri Salvador chanson in German, and weave them with original compositions like Itacimirim, Toca da Arara, and Embaixo da Imensidão – songs inspired by ocean waves, urban sounds, and inner journeys.

“The audience responds with whistles and loud cheers after just the first song. The atmosphere is electrifying, creating a palpable connection between performers and listeners… The spark ignites as the trio launches into Donato’s classic A Rã – rhythmically virtuosic, played with a wink. The voice floats, glides, dives in. The guitar responds with percussive accents, while the piano dances between free improvisation and tight grooves.”
